Phillies host Postseason Block Party outside Garage Fishtown
Fishtown is fired up for the postseason! The Red October Rally Bus made its final stop ahead of the National League Division Series, for an outdoor block party outside Garage in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. Phillies special guests included the Phillie Phanatic, Milt Thompson, Dickie Noles, Phillies broadcasters and the Phillies Ballgirls, who were all aboard the bus to give out free rally towels, cheer cards and beads.
Fans took pictures in front of the brand-new mural on Garage depicting Phillies players Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh and Bryson Stott. The mural was created by Jimmy McMenamin, an artist from Philadelphia-based Glossblack. Garage donated a portion of that evening’s proceeds to the Alec Bohm Foundation, and the Fishtown District matched all donations.
The Phillies will take on the New York Mets for games 1 and 2 of the National League Division Series on Saturday, October 5, and Sunday, October 6, at 4:08 p.m. at Citizens Bank Park.
