Phillies manager Rob Thomson, his wife Michele, and members of the Phillies front office joined volunteers from the Strawberry Mansion Learning Center on Monday to assist with various tasks around the center, including trash cleanup, organizing book donations and more.
This visit was a continuation of the Phillies’ work with the learning center through the MLB Legacy Project. The Strawberry Mansion Learning Center is an afterschool safe haven for kids who might otherwise go home to an empty house and serves the youth through support and mentorship.
This event was the first of multiple community and charitable events as part of this year’s Winter Tour.
