Phanta Claus & friends volunteer at Share Food Program to support holiday hunger relief efforts

December 2, 2024 - Phillies and SEI employees teamed up to help fight food insecurity this holiday season, volunteering to sort donated food at the volunteer center of Share Food Program, which distributes millions of pounds of food to hundreds of thousands of neighbors in need.

Also taking part in the cause was Phanta Claus, along with Phillies Ambassadors’ Mickey Morandini, Dickie Noles and Milt Thompson.

The special event was part of the Phillies Season of Giving presented by SEI, as well as Phillies Give Back, a monthly employee volunteer program in which members of the Phillies family donate their time to local nonprofits.

Since early 2022, Share Food Program has seen more than a 220% increase in need throughout the five-county region it serves and continues to see rising rates of food insecurity throughout Philadelphia, which has the highest poverty rate of any major city in the nation.
