Female Fans Take the Field for Major League Fun at Phillies Behind the Diamond Event

It was a jam-packed day for female fans at Citizens Bank Park as dozens took part in the sold-out, all-day Phillies Behind the Diamond Clinic for Women event sponsored by Inclusive Collection, part of World of Hyatt.

Before that day’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, fans participated in on-field and behind-the-scenes stations that gave them a taste of the major leagues. The guests had a tour of the Phillies clubhouse, learned about the control center for the giant PhanaVision scoreboard and checked out the ballpark’s press box before hitting the field for baseball clinics with Phillies coaches, who taught them how to hit, pitch and field like a pro.

The participants were also treated with a surprise Q&A with Phillies catcher Garrett Stubbs, as well as a conversation with Phillies broadcasters Larry Andersen, Scott Franzke, John Kruk and Gregg Murphy. After an action-packed day, the budding major leaguers cheered on the Phillies as they defeated Milwaukee, 2-1.
