Community Heroes Honored at Phillies Charities, Inc. Holiday Party
On Thursday, November 30, local heroes took center stage to be honored for their selfless work in the community at the Phillies Charities, Inc. Holiday Party.
The event saluted 37 area charities and organizations who are transforming their communities, all of whom were selected to receive a 2023 Phillies Charities, Inc. grant of $35,000 so their charitable efforts can continue. In total, the organization has awarded $2.1 million in grants this year.
The event’s program featured a performance by 15-year-old Brianna Arroyo of Expressive Path, Inc., as well as inspiring words from speakers including Phillies Charities, Inc. President John Weber, Breathing Room Foundation Director of Development Colleen Knoble, Transformation to Recovery founder John Carlson, and Ma Deuce Deuce founder Dennis Adesso.
The party also had some special guests in attendance, including Phillies Managing Partner and Chief Executive Officer John Middleton, Executive Vice President Dave Buck, and broadcaster Tom McCarthy, who emceed the festivities. The Phillie Phanatic also made a surprise visit!
