NEW in 2024! Citi Bike, NYC’s bike sharing program, is now available at Citi Field.
Look for bikes and e-bikes at 2 convenient station locations: one in Mets Plaza to the left of the Homerun Apple, and the other in the pedestrian plaza adjacent to the intersection of Shea Road and Boat Basin Place. With these additions, Citi Field is now at the eastern edge of Citi Bike’s service zone in Queens, allowing bike connections west into Elmhurst, Corona, Jackson Heights, and Manhattan/Bronx/Brooklyn.
For more information on the program, please visit citibikenyc.com.
Citi Field is easily accessible by bicycle. With the 34th Avenue bike lane, which approaches the stadium from the north and west, Jackson Heights and Astoria are just a 15-20 minute bike ride away, Astoria and Long Island City only 25-35 minutes. The Mets also encourage local residents to bike to the game on their own personal bike should they have one. Safe bike parking locations are available near the rotunda.
Please always use caution when biking on or around Citi Field, especially on gamedays when the number of pedestrians and vehicles increase dramatically. We encourage bike riders to walk their bike on plazas and sidewalks adjacent to the stadium.
The Mets encourage all riders to wear a helmet. A reminder that backpacks and large containers are NOT allowed at Citi Field, but you are ARE allowed to bring your bike helmet into the stadium with you, either as is or in small tote bag. Please see our Security Policies for further information on approved bags and entry policies.
