Fresh off his worst MLB start (10 runs in three innings at the Mets), Lopez gets another shot at New York. Lopez hadn't allowed more than four runs or worked fewer than 4 2/3 innings this year before Friday's outing. Overall, he has thrown pretty well, with a 3.82 xFIP.

Syndergaard has alternated good starts with bad ones over his last four outings. His good starts have been excellent -- a shutout against the Reds, and eight innings of two-run ball versus the Nationals. But the Mets need more consistency from him.
