ATLANTA -- Martin Prado is heading back to the disabled list, but this time it isn't because of a strained right hamstring.
The 34-year-old third baseman strained his left quad in the Marlins' 9-1 loss to the Braves in Game 1 of Monday's day-night doubleheader at SunTrust Park.
The injury came while chasing a foul ball down the third-base line in the first inning, though Prado remained in the game until he was pinch-hit for by Miguel Rojas in the third inning. Rojas remained in the game at third.
"I think it's a mild strain which is a good thing," Prado said. "Hopefully seven days is ideal. I'm positive. I'm just really glad I got out of the game. I felt my leg cool off after I got out of the game. I talked to the doctor, and it's been positive. Hopefully, it doesn't take that long. Hopefully 7-10 days."

"He strained his left quad going for that foul ball, early in the game, running down the line," Marlins manager Don Mattingly said. "It didn't sound like it was too severe. We think it should be short, but we'll see."
Miami recalled Christopher Bostick from Triple-A New Orleans prior to the second game of the doubleheader.
The Marlins acquired Bostick from the Pirates on Sunday for cash considerations. The 25-year-old, who appeared in two games this season for the Bucs, is on the 40-man roster. By coincidence, Bostick is traveling through Atlanta, initially on his way to New Orleans to join the Baby Cakes.
Prado had one at-bat in the first game of a split twin bill, lifting a fly ball to right field in the first inning. This will be his third DL stint this year. The other two times were because of a right hamstring strain.
Prado is a valuable leader on a young Marlins squad. But the past two years, he's dealt with right hamstring injuries. A right hamstring strain landed Prado on the disabled to start the season, and he joined the club on April 27. But he reinjured the hamstring on May 25, and he was sidelined until July 5.
Monday was Prado's 53rd game. In 2017, he initially injured his hamstring while participating in the World Baseball Classic for Venezuela. He appeared in just 37 games last year.
Prado is batting .244 with one home run and 15 RBIs. In his past eight games, he is batting .333 (6-for-18).
