The Marlins announced on Monday the launch of Protecting Our Comunidad this season, the next step in its ongoing partnership with ADT. The program will showcase South Florida entrepreneurs and businesses who comprise the heart of the area’s unique vibrance.
ADT is providing a space for Miami’s small businesses to generate popup shops within loanDepot park, created to highlight the people and passions that spark each business, while providing security solutions that protect both.
Fans will be able to avail themselves of an exclusive, complimentary souvenir. The program will also allow businesses to increase the brand visibility and customer base with fans.
“We are excited to continue building impactful programming through our partnership with ADT,” said Rob Gelman, Marlins vice president of partnership development and strategy. “The Protecting Our Comunidad program highlights the heart and soul of South Florida -- our local small businesses and entrepreneurs.
“By offering these businesses a unique platform at loanDepot park, we are not only showcasing their passion but also giving fans the opportunity to experience the incredible small businesses that make our community so special. We look forward to spotlighting even more companies in the months ahead and continuing to strengthen the bond between the Marlins, ADT and the South Florida community.”
The first business to be spotlighted by the Protecting Our Comunidad program is Kimberly’s Frozen Treats. Kimberly’s, which was founded in 2020 to serve Miami’s Omni District, began as a lone popup shop. The company expanded from there, planting vending carts throughout the area. It will bring a signature ADT BLUE frozen treat to loanDepot park.
“We are proud to team up with the Marlins to launch Protecting Our Comunidad, using our influence and reach as a force for good,” said Ben Tamblyn, chief communications officer of ADT. “We are not only providing these entrepreneurs the visibility they need to grow and succeed, but also the proper small business security solutions to ensure their businesses continue to thrive. We look forward to seeing the community come together at the ballpark to celebrate local businesses and the people behind them.”
The Marlins will unveil the full lineup of small businesses in the coming months. Fans can follow @Marlins and @ADT for updates on the Protecting Our Comunidad program at the ballpark.
