Rocky Koplik is now in his 26th season with the Giants. He is responsible for defining the strategic priorities and leading the day-to-day execution for Business Data & Analytics.
The business unit provides analytic and strategic support across the full business side of the enterprise. Areas of influence and responsibility include data infrastructure, reporting, research and consumer insights, predictive analytics, customer segmentation, strategic planning, and internal consultation. Over the past two years, Koplik and the Analytics team have been instrumental in defining the mission, values, and long-term strategic plan of the organization.
Koplik began his professional sports career with two years working in the front office of the San Jose Giants, the then California League, High-A ball affiliate of the Giants. During his first decade plus with the Giants, he also enjoyed a play-by-play broadcasting career, calling over 500 combined games in minor league baseball, the National Lacrosse League and Giants Spring Training.
Koplik lives in the Outer Sunset neighborhood of San Francisco with his wife and two children. He is an active member of the community, currently serving as PTA Vice President for a SFUSD elementary school and as a youth sports coach.
A New York native, Koplik graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Economics.
