Gene Telucci is entering his 43rd year in the Ballpark Operations Department. While attending school, Telucci began his tenure with the Giants in 1976 as a part-time ticket-taker and in 1981, took on a full-time position in the Ballpark Operations department.
Telucci oversees all operations staff and event personnel which includes: Security, Groundskeepers, Engineering, Maintenance, Event Strategy and Services, Parking and First Aid. Additionally, he serves as the team’s liaison with the local police.
Telucci and his team have been instrumental in Oracle Park’s LEED Certification success. The Park earned Silver Certification in 2010, Gold in 2015 and Platinum in 2019. Oracle Park is the only MLB Park to achieve this level of greening sustainability excellence. Over the last 15 seasons, the Giants have also won MLB’s Green Glove Award 13 times. In 2023, MLB awarded the Giants the first ever Eco-Slugger Innovation Award.
Telucci is a native San Franciscan and resides in South San Francisco with his wife Chrissy. They have a son, Joey, and daughter-in-law, Kristen.
