Alfonso Felder, who enters his 29th season in the Giants front office, oversees the Ballpark Operations, Event Strategy and Services, Guest Services and Giants Enterprises departments. Felder is also responsible for the Giants’ City of Scottsdale spring training operations in Arizona where he manages the Giants relationship with the City Scottsdale and the development of the Giants new minor league training complex at Papago Park in Phoenix. Felder works with the Giants’ executive team to lead strategic organizational initiatives and is actively engaged in the Mission Rock development.
Felder began his front office career at Candlestick Park where he was a key player in the planning and construction of Oracle Park. Felder oversaw the development of the original transportation plan for the ballpark and is now responsible for assuring the continued operational success of Oracle Park. Felder manages the Giants capital improvements at the ballpark encompassing a wide range of projects including the new bleacher bullpens, the Gotham Club and the Garden at Oracle Park. Felder was the point person for hosting the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in 2007 and the World Baseball Classic in 2006 (Scottsdale) and in 2013 (San Francisco).
Felder’s first job was as a 16-year-old Giants usher at Candlestick Park. He attended UC Berkeley and graduated from Harvard. Felder is also a graduate of the City Year national service program (Boston). He is the President and co-founder of the San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation, the non-profit behind the Vogue Theatre, the Balboa Theatre and San Francisco’s longest running outdoor film series. Felder resides in San Francisco with his wife Tara, and sons, Leo and Max.
