Giants approved to host limited fans in spring
The Giants announced Wednesday that they have received approval from Major League Baseball to host a limited number of fans at Scottsdale Stadium for each of their Cactus League home games this spring.
In a statement released by the club, the Giants said they are working with the city of Scottsdale, Ariz., on a plan to make approximately 750 to 1,000 tickets available for fans at each game.
“Current season ticket members at Scottsdale Stadium will have first priority to purchase tickets and the Giants will contact those individuals this week to discuss seating options,” the Giants said in the statement. “Seats will be sold in pods of two or four in socially distanced locations throughout the ballpark. Fans will also be required to wear face coverings and practice social distancing.”
The Giants are currently scheduled to play their Cactus League home opener on Feb. 27 against the Angels, though the full slate is subject to change due to the unpredictable nature of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
