Brandon McCarthy has an unusual suggestion for a last-minute summer job
Behind their steady superstar and NL MVP candidate Freddie Freeman, the Braves have been in the thick of the NL East race all season long, and currently find themselves in first place. But it hasn't just been Freeman leading the charge -- Atlanta has also gotten significant contributions from several exciting rookies, most notably Ronald Acuña Jr. But these aren't just any rookies -- these are rookies who aren't old enough to drink yet.
Five players have debuted in the big leagues this year before turning 21. Four of them have been Braves, with the most recent one being 20-year-old Bryse Wilson, who made his MLB debut on Monday against Pittsburgh.
Braves pitcher Brandon McCarthy realized that playing for his team may be an exciting opportunity for other young adults looking for work:
are you under 21 and looking to make some last minute summer cash? Try out for the @Braves

This past offseason, the Rays hired Butera to manage the Renegades as the youngest manager in the entire Minor Leagues. Now their relationship is a bit different:
Blake was my roommate and went from getting mad at me for not doing dishes in our apartment when I was 18 to now being my manager and getting mad at me for not wearing a collard shirt to the field, baseball is wild man😏 pic.twitter.com/AI9mMVJdgE

Here’s a message to @RaysRaymond and all his mascot buddies out there besides my boy @Sluggerrr I’m used to extinguishing critters off the playing field. So you better check yourself before you wreck yourself! 😂 https://t.co/3Q8eyR6MV8
