The second annual Cubs Charities Cub Together Gala was held on Friday, September 9, to support the critical work that Cubs Charities is doing to utilize sport as an agent of social change and make a larger impact on our Chicago youth and communities. The Cub Together Fundraiser was a special event that featured one of our youth leaders, George Salazar. George not only exemplifies a commitment to his Cubs RBI team and his Cubs Scholars colleagues, but to his Little Village community and other young people in the city as well. Positive stories such as his are an inspiration and serve as motivation for Cubs Charities to continue to invest in our vision for a future youth development facility where youth like George can learn, play and grow both on and off the field.

With more than 250 people in attendance, Cubs Charities raised $1.4 million to continue expanding its programs and providing more safe places to play for ALL Chicago youth. Please watch the video to learn more about the work of Cubs Charities and to hear George’s story.
