Manager, Marketing
As a Manager of Marketing with the St. Louis Cardinals, Melissa Tull is responsible for the development and implementation of several marketing and advertising initiatives that cross a variety of traditional and non-traditional platforms.
Melissa works directly with Major League Baseball Advanced Media to coordinate marketing projects for the team's website cardinals.com, and she handles several aspects of the team's print, radio, television, outdoor and web-based ticket advertising.
Throughout the season, Melissa oversees a variety of third party ticket initiatives, including Groupon, Travelzoo, ValPak, the Fan Appreciation Package and various Corporate Ticket Discount Programs. She also manages Cardinals Nation, the team's official online fan club as well as the Cardinals in-park and online market research. She oversees special events such as the annual Cardinals Caravan in the winter and the Alumni Kids Clinics in the summer.
Since joining the Cardinals in 2005, Melissa has served as the Script Coordinator for the 2009 All-Star Planning and Coordination Team and was instrumental in several major website initiatives including "Like Mike," "Unite for Joplin" and more. In 2010, Melissa played a lead role in the "Stand for Stan" campaign - a social-media based effort that was successful in encouraging President Obama to award Stan Musial the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his lifetime of achievement and service.
Before Melissa joined the Cardinals Fan Development team, she worked as a coordinator for Season Ticket Sales for two years, where she created the Season Ticket Holders website as well as assisted with season ticket holder special events. Melissa's career with the Cardinals started in 2005 with Team Fredbird.
Prior to joining the Cardinals, Melissa worked as a Marketing Coordinator for Brentwood Travel, where she developed online marketing campaigns for the St. Louis-based travel agency and served as the "honeymoon director." She also worked several years as a liaison between tax collectors and mortgage companies while with First American Real Estate in Denver, Colorado.
In her spare time, Melissa serves on the Worship Team at her church and enjoys volunteering at week-long summer camp sessions at in DeSoto, MO. She earned her bachelors of arts in mass communication from Lipscomb University and resides in South St. Louis with her husband and two children.
