Credentials

All media outlets must have an affiliation created for them. The Cardinals will only create an affiliation for professional newsgathering entities in the St. Louis market.

Spring Training outlets based in Florida will need to request through their local market (Miami, Tampa Bay or Atlanta-North Florida). International media outlets will need to contact Major League Baseball for an affiliation.

Credentials will be issued to only legitimate newsgathering agencies and must be worn in a visible manner at all times. Fancentric blog sites, outlets with casual interest and freelance photographers will not be granted access to media credentials.

All requests for credentials should be made by the assigning editor or news/sports director online at least 48 hours prior to the event here.

Credentials are issued to working members of the press; no spouses, guests, or children of press members will be issued passes, and credentials are not transferable.

Media members not working a game who would like to request tickets can contact the Cardinals Communications Department with a written request and we will attempt to make accommodations.

1. Once you gain access to the site, select the St. Louis Cardinals from the list of 30 MLB teams. Then select Apply to St. Louis Cardinals Event.

2. The St. Louis Cardinals require a valid email and photo ID from all media members before the online application can be completed. Affiliation Managers can upload photos to their Affiliation Roster.

Photos must resemble a passport photo and should be no less than 150 dpi (dots per inch).

3. Your request will be reviewed by the Cardinals Communications Department and you will receive a confirmation email once your status has been confirmed.

Affiliation Management

1. In order to manage your affiliation's information (name, address, media type, description, etc.) click the Affiliation Management tab at the top of the screen and edit profile.

A Few Things to Remember:

The St. Louis Cardinals ask that all media members apply online for credentials no later than 48 hours before the event.

  • Select only the media members that are in need of credentialing for the events specified.
  • The credentialing window will be open 4 hours prior to first pitch. If an earlier entrance to the park is necessary, please contact the media relations department to make arrangements.
  • When applying for credentials, please use the comment section to designate access to specific restricted areas (clubhouse, field, press box, photo well, truck compound), call-time (TV rightsholders) & contact person (phone/email).
