The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to terms with RHP Mike Mayers on a Minor League contract with an invite to 2024 Major League Spring Training.

Mayers, 32, appeared in six games (two starts) for the Royals in 2023, posting a 6.15 ERA across 26.1 IP with 17 strikeouts. The 6-2, 220 lb. right-hander, originally from Grove City, OH, was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 3^rd round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft and made his MLB debut for the team in 2016. Over the course of eight big league seasons, has played for the Cardinals, Angels, and Royals, going 12-11 over 204 appearances (eight starts) with a 5.21 ERA across 262.2 IP with 265 strikeouts.
