CHICAGO – City Cruises, a tourism leader in dining and sightseeing cruises worldwide, announced today a comprehensive partnership naming the brand the Proud Maritime Hospitality Partner of the Chicago White Sox for the 2025 Major League Baseball regular season.
The partnership is part of a three-year agreement between City Cruises and the White Sox that includes an extensive local media campaign, including local and national visibility, digital in-park signage and gameday ballpark activations.
This new partnership is part of City Cruises’ first-ever nationwide sports partnership, highlighting City Cruises’ extraordinary experiences across the country through agreements with the White Sox and five other MLB teams.
“This groundbreaking partnership represents City Cruises’ continued innovation by connecting our dining and sightseeing cruises with an engaged and passionate White Sox fanbase that shares our passion for showcasing the very best Chicago has to offer,” said Grace Fuller, general manager of City Cruises Chicago.
The partnership also highlights City Cruises’ brand-new live entertainment series, “City Cruises Live,” which includes a series of 20th anniversary 2005 Chicago White Sox World Series Champion fan cruises setting sail this summer. Hosted by 2005 World Series Manager Ozzie Guillén and All-Star catcher A.J. Pierzynski, these experiences also feature special appearances by fellow teammates from the championship-winning 2005 White Sox team, including Joe Crede, Jermaine Dye, and Scott Podsednik. Each three-hour cruise invites fans onboard for a behind-the-scenes look at the memorable playoff run and an opportunity to see the 2005 World Series trophy in-person.
“The 2005 White Sox team holds a special place in my heart and the hearts of so many Chicagoans,” said Pierzynski. “I’m so thrilled to set sail with Ozzie and my fellow teammates, 20 years later, to celebrate an iconic run with the fans who made it all possible.”
The limited-time-only cruises set sail from City Cruises’ Chicago port on Sunday, June 29, Sunday, July 27 and Sunday, August 24. “City Cruises Live” also features notable musical acts, a culinary series with celebrity chef Adrianne Calvo and live interactive sessions with television personalities.
