White Sox-Indians rained out, DH on Tues.
Monday’s series opener between the White Sox and Indians at Progressive Field was postponed due to inclement weather. The contest has been rescheduled as part of a traditional doubleheader on Tuesday, with the makeup game starting at 2:30 p.m. CT.
The originally scheduled Tuesday night game will follow the first game after an approximately 45-minute break. Dylan Cease will make his 2020 debut as part of the White Sox road opener in Game 1, while Carlos Rodón will make his first start in the nightcap. Aaron Civale and Adam Plutko will be the respective starters for Cleveland.
It will be Rodón’s first regular-season start since May 1, 2019, as he has been working back from Tommy John surgery. The southpaw has a 5-3 record and 2.49 lifetime ERA against the Indians and is 4-2 with a 2.17 ERA at Progressive Field.
Both games will be televised on NBC Sports Chicago and MLB.TV. They also will be broadcast on WGN 720 and Gameday Audio.
