Rachelle Madrigal
Rachelle Madrigal oversees the day-to-day operations and capital improvement projects at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex in Vero Beach, Fla., for Major League Baseball’s Baseball and Softball Development Department.
Prior to joining Major League Baseball in March 2019, Madrigal spent more than 12 years working for the Pittsburgh Pirates at their Spring Training facility in Bradenton, Fla., most recently as the General Manager of the Bradenton Marauders and Director of Sales & Marketing. Madrigal’s tenure with the Pirates began as an intern in September 2006 and led to her overseeing business and gameday operations for Pirates Spring Training and the Bradenton Marauders, which included ticket sales, corporate partnership sales, stadium operations, community relations, special events and more.
Madrigal is a two-time winner of the Florida State League’s Emo Murphy Woman Executive of the Year Award (2014 & 2018). She led the planning and execution of the 2014 Florida State League All-Star Game in Bradenton. Madrigal was selected to participate in MLB’s Katharine Feeney Leadership Symposium for women in baseball in 2018 and 2021, and the WISE (Women in Sports and Events) Executive Leadership Institute (WELI) in 2024. She served as a mentor in Minor League Baseball’s inaugural Women in Baseball LIFT Mentorship Program in 2019.
Madrigal’s career in baseball began as an usher and subsequent intern for the Brockton Rox, a former professional team in the independent Can-Am League. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
