Full name is Christian Bradley Koss...Played baseball for three seasons at the University of California, Irvine (2017-19)...Selected as the Big West Conference’s Defensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2019...Played for Yarmouth-Dennis in the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2017 and ‘18...Named a CCBL All-Star in 2018...In the summer between his senior year of high school and freshman year of college, played for Yakima Valley in the West Coast League...Graduated from John W. North High School (CA)...His parents, Dale and Guadalupe, each played a sport at California Baptist University...Dale played basketball and Guadalupe played volleyball...Both of Christian’s sisters, Laikyn and Ferryn, have also played a collegiate sport...Laikyn played soccer at Colorado State University Pueblo and Ferryn played volleyball at San Bernardino Valley College.

2022

Spent the entire season with Double-A Portland and was named the team’s MVP...Led the Sea Dogs in HR (17), RBI (84), hits (127) and total bases (210). His 84 RBI ranked ninth in Double-A. Made 69 starts at SS, 24 at 2B, 23 at 3B, three in CF and one in LF. With RISP, hit .320 with a .904 OPS (48-for-150, 9 HR). Recorded his lone multi-HR game of the season on 6/30 vs. New Hampshire (4-for-6, two HR, five RBI). Hit .317 with an .876 OPS in May, and .337 with a .922 OPS in July.

2021

Spent the entire season with High-A Greenville, his most advanced level...Named Red Sox Minor League Baserunner of the Year...Led High-A East in triples (7) and ranked among league leaders in AVG (8th, .271), hits (2nd, 116), XBH (T-9th, 40), total bases (4th, 193), and runs (T-8th, 65)...Ranked among Red Sox minor leaguers in hits (2nd), triples (T-2nd), total bases (2nd), and runs (8th)...Named Red Sox Minor League Defensive Player of the Month for June and Baserunner of the Month for August...Had two hitting streaks of 10+ games...Had a career-best 14-game streak from 8/14-29 (.357 AVG, 20-for-56) and a 10-game streak from 5/26-6/5 (.333 AVG, 14-for-42)...In 27 games from 7/1-8/5, hit .358 (39-for-109) with eight HR and 24 RBI...Hit three HR vs. Rome on 8/5, 1 of 10 3-HR games in High-A in 2021...Played 14 games for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League following the season.
