Injury: Right shoulder soreness
Expected return: Day to day
Status: Steer, who has been limited to DH this spring, was scratched from the lineup March 1 after being given a cortisone injection. He was reevaluated on March 8. (Last updated: March 8) More >>

INF Cam Collier
Injury: Left thumb
Status: Collier was scheduled to see a doctor on Thursday, but the Reds have not recieved a report. Per Terry Francona, Collier banged up his thumb during a tag play at first base. (Last updated: March 7)

LHP Andrew Abbott
Injury: Left shoulder strain
Expected return: March
Status: Abbott, who missed the final six weeks of 2024, faced hitters in a 20-pitch live BP earlier in the week. He is expected to throw to hitters once more before getting into a game. (Last updated: March 7) More >>

RHP Rhett Lowder
Injury: Right elbow discomfort
Expected return: March
Status: After experiencing discomfort in January and being shut down, Lowder resumed throwing the week of Feb. 17 but is behind others. (Last updated: Feb. 23)

RHP Julian Aguiar
Injury: Torn UCL
Expected return: 2026
Status: Aguiar underwent Tommy John surgery, which was performed by Dr. Keith Meister, on Oct. 11. (Last updated: Feb. 6)

RHP Tejay Antone
Injury: Torn UCL
Expected return: Possibly in 2025
Status: Antone had the third Tommy John surgery of his career on his right elbow and arm surgery to repair tears in his ulnar collateral ligament and flexor mass tendon on April 12, 2024. He signed a Minor League contract in the offseason. (Last updated: Feb. 6)

LHP Brandon Williamson
Injury: Torn UCL
Expected return: Likely 2026
Status: Williamson, who spent much of 2024 coming back from a shoulder injury, appeared in four big league games (three starts) before he tore his UCL on Sept. 17, requiring Tommy John surgery. (Last updated: Feb. 6)
