VICE PRESIDENT OF BASEBALL DEVELOPMENT
Will Cousins transitioned to Vice President, Assistant General Manager in November 2022 & begins his 10th season with the Rays. In this role, he oversees baseball research and development, and reviews and optimizes resources across the baseball systems. He joined the Rays as an analyst in research and development in June 2015 and was later promoted to senior data scientist in November 2017, director of baseball research and development in February 2019 and vice president of baseball development in December 2021. Prior to joining the Rays organization, he spent three years researching ocean waves at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. A native of Columbia, S.C., Cousins earned a degree in mathematics from Pepperdine University and a PhD in applied math from North Carolina State University. He and his wife, Katelyn, live in St. Petersburg with their daughters, Margot and Meadow.
