VICE PRESIDENT, BASEBALL SYSTEMS
Brian Plexico was promoted to vice president, baseball systems in November 2022 and begins his 19th season with the Rays. In this role, he is responsible for software applications for scouting, statistics and player analysis. Plexico joined the Rays as a software programmer in April 2006 and was later elevated to architect of baseball systems in November 2008, director of baseball systems in December 2015 and senior director of baseball systems in November 2020. Before joining the Rays, Plexico spent several years as a software developer for various companies, most recently a defense contractor in Charleston, S.C. He earned a degree in physical education with an emphasis in sports medicine from the College of Charleston. He lives in St. Petersburg and has three daughters: Maicie, Hollis and Laurel.
