CINCINNATI – The Reds swung their first trade of the 2025 calendar year on Monday, when they acquired right-handed pitcher from the Rangers for cash considerations.

MLB Pipeline ranked the 25-year-old White as the No. 25 prospect in Texas' system, though he ranked as high as 62nd overall on the Top 100 Prospects list in 2022.

White made his MLB debut in 2023, and he has made five big league appearances out of the Rangers' bullpen over the past two seasons, scuffling to a 16.71 ERA in seven innings. The righty posted a 24.00 ERA in three big league relief appearances over four stints for the Rangers in 2024 and was designated for assignment on Dec. 20.

White was a second-round selection out of a North Carolina high school by Texas in the 2018 Draft. He spent most of last season at Triple-A, where he went 2-8 with a 5.64 ERA and 87 strikeouts over 99 innings across 29 games, including 15 starts.
