Rays celebrate division title with dance battle
That's one way to party
How does one celebrate a division title in 2020? After all, there are no champagne celebrations and there's no such thing as hanging out in a bar with your buds all night.
Fortunately, the Rays' Brett Phillips and Randy Arozarena got creative. After defeating the Mets on Wednesday to win the club's first division title since 2010, they had a little dance battle.
Phillips, usually known more for his trademark laugh, got things started with some seriously impressive moves. Who knew his hips could even move that way?
Arozarena responded using some The Robot and ending with an Avengers-like knee on the ground. Overall, the edge probably has to go to Phillips on this one, but everyone knows you can't judge a dancer based off of one dance-off. Hopefully this won't be the last time we see a dance battle between the two, and the team will use this as a way to celebrate throughout the postseason.
Of course, not everyone got on the dancefloor. This was how pitcher Charlie Morton partied after the game:
Someone needs to get him a clubhouse attendant shirt like the one Joey Votto has ASAP.
