It's a walk-off so weird you have to watch

May 21st, 2021

We’ve seen runners wiggle their way out of pickles before, but this is a new one.

The SSG Landers walked off against the LG Twins in a Korea Baseball Organization game, 6-5, on Friday after confusion and chaos ensued on a seemingly routine ground ball, allowing the winning run to score.

With the game tied at 5 in the bottom of the ninth, the Landers loaded the bases with one out for Jae-won Lee, who hit a grounder to third base. After Twins third baseman Min-sung Kim stepped on third for the forceout, -- the former MLB outfielder, who is back playing in Korea this season -- got caught in a rundown between third and home.

Choo made it back to third, where Yoo-seom Han (who was previously forced out) was already standing. Han, despite being out, started running back to second base, and Twins catcher Kang-nam Yoo chased after him.

When Choo broke for home, Yoo inexplicably threw the ball back to third, and Choo crossed the plate for the unusual victory.
