Full name is Ryan Delbert Snare...selected by Cincinnati in the second round of the 2000 June Draft...originally selected by Atlanta in the ninth round of the 1997 June Draft but did not sign...signed by Reds scout Steve Kring...pitched at the University of North Carolina...went 21-12 in his Tar Heel career...played baseball and football at East Lake HS in Clearwater, Fla. (graduated '97)...an honor roll student...a first team all-state pitcher in 1997 and a second team choice in 1996...team's pitching MVP in 1996 and 1997 and their batting MVP in 1996...captain of both teams as a junior and a senior and was the football team's offensive MVP as a junior and overall MVP as a senior.
