Started season with Memphis and released from player contract, May 18, 2006...signed by Washington on May 31 and assigned to Harrisburg...recorded a career-high 15-game hit streak, hitting .387 (24x62), June 3-20...had a season-high 4 hits, June 29 at Connecticut...hit .355 (33x93) with 13 runs, 12 extra-base hits and 17 RBI in June...recorded 12-game hit streak, hitting .372 (16x43), Aug. 20-31.
2005
For the second straight season split his time between Double-A and Triple-A. His .311 average at Binghamton (AA) through 6/2 helped earn him a promotion to Norfolk (AAA).
Played left and right field at Double-A and committed four errors. Was the DH in 15 games and went 0-1 as a pinch-hitter.
Arrived at Norfolk and promptly began a seven-game hitting streak in which he batted .333 (10-for-30) with four doubles. Hit 11 doubles in June , one triple and three home runs after arriving at Triple-A.
Batted .270 as a leftfielder where he played the majority of his games (45). Also spent time in center (12), right (10) and was the DH in three games.
2004
Began the season at Double-A Binghamton and ended with Norfolk (AAA)...had a 10-game hitting streak from 5/6-5/16 that began with a 3-for-4 game leading to a 16-for-38 stretch (.421)...closed out the year with a .272 mark (25-for-92) with 15 RBI at Norfolk.
2003
Made his Major League debut on 8/24 as a pinch runner for the Mets at Los Angeles...got his first M.L. at-bat three days later 8/27 at ATL (strikeout)...started his first game 9/2 vs. ATL in rightfield and picked up his first M.L. hit, a double...finished the season at New York after spending the year at Triple-A Norfolk.
2002
Won the Doubleday Award, emblematic of the Most Valuable Player on his Binghamton (AA) team of the Eastern League.
Established career-highs in runs scored, doubles, triples and home runs.
Finished second in the Eastern League with 43 stolen bases.
Went 4-5 with a home run and three RBI vs. Erie on June 21st ... Also had 25 games with two hits and 11 contests with three hits.
Had four games with two stolen bases and one game with three stolen bases, June 17th vs. Norwich.
Hit .333 (31-93) in 24 games in May and .333 (34-102) in 30 contests in June.
Put together a season-best nine-game hitting streak from August 16th-August 23rd (12-30, .400).
Collected seven games with two RBI and six contests with three RBI.
Played 41 games in leftfield, 31 games in centerfield and 58 games in right.
Compiled a .313 (73-233) batting average in 67 home games.
Also fashioned a .304 (105-345) batting mark vs. righthanded pitching.
With runners on base, he hit .295 (54-183).
Participated in the Arizona Fall League at the end of his season ... Hit .224 (17-76) with seven doubles, two home runs and 11 RBI in 24 games with Phoenix.
2001
Voted to the Florida State League All-Star team.
Finished fourth in the FSL in games and was fifth in at-bats.
Also honored as one of SportsTicker's Star of Stars.
