Attended Aquiles Nazoa High School in Venezuela... originally signed by Seattle as a 16-year-old nondrafted free agent on Aug. 12, 2001...signed by Mariners scouts Emilio Carrasquel and Pedro Avila ... Joined the Houston organization as a non-roster invitee to 2009 Spring Training...after finishing the season with Triple A Round Rock, re-signed to a oneyear minor league deal with an invite to Spring Training on Nov. 12, 2010.
2010
Went 1x20 with five walks in 14 games over two stints with the Astros...started six games at shortstop, the first starts of his MLB career, all coming after an injury to Tommy Manzella...marked his first appearance on a MLB roster since 2006 with Seattle...after battling injuries (left quad strain) in Spring Training as a non-roster invitee, began the season at Triple A Round Rock...had his contract purchased on May 20 and stayed with the club before being optioned back to Triple A on May 28... recalled on June 23 and later optioned on July 21...designated for assignment on Sept. 16 and outrighted to Triple A on Sept. 20...hit .271 (78x288) with 24 doubles, six homers and 37 RBI in 81 games at Triple A...played 35 games at shortstop, 34 games at second base and 16 at third base...originally signed as a minor league free agent on Dec. 8, 2009, after spending his previous eight professional seasons (2002-09) in the Seattle organization.

Navarro got his first Major League hit in his first official at-bat Sept. 13 against Toronto's A.J. Burnett. Navarro made his Major League debut Sept. 12 and had a critical sacrifice bunt in the 13th inning of that game. Hit .246 with Triple-A Tacoma and .267 with Double-A San Antonio.

Spent entire campaign with Wisconsin, appearing in 120 games with a .269 average, 29 doubles, nine home runs and 69 RBI...established professional career highs in games, at-bats, runs, hits, doubles, home runs, RBI, sacrifice hits, sacrifice flies, walks and strikeouts...Played 57 games at second base, 53 at shortstop and two at third base...had 24 at-bats as the designated hitter...Tallied a career-high .974 fielding percentage at second base, making eight errors...committed a club-high 27 errors (18 at shortstop)...Tied for the team lead with 29 doubles...led the club with 10 sacrifice flies... batted .293 (63x215) as the club's second baseman...Had season-high seven-game hit streak, hitting .400 (10x25) from May 1-8...Hit .318 (28x88) with 12 runs, seven doubles, two home runs and 15 RBI in 24 games in May...Hit four of his nine home runs from June 11-26...Went 2x5 with two runs, a grand slam, and four RBI on Aug. 3 vs. South Bend...Recorded 33 multi-hit games, including six three-hit games...Batted .333 (14x42) in 10 playoff games for the Timber Rattlers...had one home run and a team-high tying nine runs and 12 RBI during the playoffs.
