Split time between Triple-A Colorado Springs (Colorado) and the Yomiuri Giants, batting a combined .303 with 24 doubles, two triples, 13 home runs and 54 RBI...played 50 games with the Sky Sox and 40 with the Giants ... Hit .365 (65-for-178) with 20 doubles, one triple, 11 home runs and 45 RBI with the Sky Sox...after his final Triple-A game (June 12), was tied for fifth in the Pacific Coast League in average and doubles and sixth in slugging (.674)...also was leading the Sky Sox in home runs and ranked second in RBI and extra base hits ... 2010

Missed nearly entire season after undergoing labral surgery on his right hip in late April...Played in three games on rehab with the Arizona League Royals from 8/12-15 before having his rehab transferred to Northwest Arkansas on 8/17...Hit safely in 10 of his 11 games with the Naturals before being recalled from his rehab assignment and reinstated from the disabled list on 9/1...Hit safely in nine of his 12 starts with the Royals...Hit safely in each of his first four games, including three straight multi-hit contests from 9/4-8...Homered for the first time on 9/7 at Minnesota...Went deep in back-to-back games on 9/27-28...Made all 12 of his defensive appearances at third base...Hit .200 (16-for-80) with two doubles and six RBI in 22 games while playing for Senadores de San Juan in the Puerto Rican Winter League.

2009

Split the season between the Chicago White Sox and Charlotte (AAA)...Hit his second career grand slam on July 23 vs. Tampa Bay, the same game Mark Buehrle recorded a perfect game...according to Elias Sports Bureau, it was the first grand slam hit in support of a perfect game.

2008
