Grew up in Thousand Oaks, CA...Graduated from Newbury Park High School in Thousand Oaks. Belinda Carlisle, lead singer of the Go-Go's, and actress Heather Locklear are also famous alumni from Newbury Park High School...Father, Brad, coached men’s golf at UCLA for 7 seasons from 1996-2002, and was an All-American golfer for the Bruins in 1978. His most famous pupil was Travis Mathew Johnson (1999-2002), the founder of the men's clothing brand "Travis Mathew."...Attended the University of Oregon and owns the Ducks’ single season (21 in 2013) and career (40) saves records. His 93 strikeouts in 2012 rank third all-time in school history. Sherfy was a 2013 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) First-Team All-American and a 2012-13 First-Team All-Pac 12 selection. Also was a 2012-13 NCBWA Stopper of the Year Finalist.
