Made a career-high 78 appearances for the Mariners surrounding three stints on the injured list (4/7-5/30 with a left hamstring strain, 7/18-8/1, 8/28-9/13 with right shoulder inflammation)...His .352 on-base percentage tied for the fifth-highest ever by a Mariners rookie...The Mariners went 33-19 when he reached base safely and 12-14 when he did not reach base safely...Averaged a walk every 5.76 plate appearances, fourth-best in the Major Leagues behind Yasmani Grandal (4.31), Juan Soto (4.51) and Joey Gallo (5.55)...His 22 walks were the most in franchise history through a player's first 20 games of a season...Steve Braun (1977) and Jay Buhner (1997) each had 21 walks...Four times walked with the bases loaded, most in the Major Leagues and including a walk-off walk on Opening Night in a 10-inning, 8-7 win vs the Giants...Earned MLB Network's "Play of the Week" for robbing a potential walk-off HR on 6/9 at Det...On 7/2 vs Tex became the first Mariners player with a homer, two walks and two stolen bases in a game since Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. did it on 7/18/99.

Played in seven games for the Mariners in 2020, batting .154 (4x26) with three runs, one double, one triple, two stolen bases and two walks...Registered the hardest hit ball by any Mariners player this year with a double down the right field line on Aug. 22 vs. TEX, a 112.2 MPH drive off Jordan Lyles...Placed on 10-Day Injured List on Sept. 23 with a right quad strain, missing the final five games of the season.
