Waiver claim from off-season rebounded from September shoulder surgery and was one of the club's most
reliable relievers over the last three months of the season...Came to spring training with a limited throwing program
as he rehabilitated his surgically repaired right shoulder.
Began throwing off the mound at the end of spring training and appeared in some simulated and minor league
games at the conclusion of camp...Stayed in extended spring until reporting to A Kinston on April 24 where he
appeared in 2 games before being promoted to AA Akron on May 1...Did not allow a run and walked just 2 batters
in 16.0 innings while with the Eastern League champion Aeros and was promoted to AAA Buffalo on May
