Missed most of the season after surgery on his right shoulder ... Began the year rehabbing with the Gulf Coast Phillies ... Went 0-4 with a 9.91 ERA for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
2003
Shuttled between Scranton (AAA) and the Phillies during first month-and-a-half of season . . . Began season with Scranton as the Opening Day starter and made just that 1 start before being recalled, 4/6 . . . Made 4 relief appearances and was then optioned back to Scranton, 4/14 (RHP Turk Wendell activated) . . .
