Was 3-3 with a 2.74 ERA (20 ER/65.2 IP) and 31 saves in 60 appearances between Class A Kannapolis and Winston-Salem ... his 31 saves led the South Atlantic League, ranked second in the Sox organization and are tied for the fourth-highest total by a Sox minor-leaguers since 1981 ... earned SAL Rolaids Relief Award for June (0.82 ERA, eight saves) and July (nine saves).

2003
