Spent the entire season at Frisco (AA)...made 29 appearances (15 starts) and went 6-5, 3.29 (41 ER/112.0 IP)...ERA was fifth in the Texas organization (minimum 92 IP) and in the Texas League...fourth on the Frisco staff in innings pitched, starts and strikeouts (74) and tied for fourth in wins...first 14 appearances of the season were in relief...was 1-1, 5.23 those games but was 5-4, 2.86 as a starter...opponents hit .231 against him as a starter and .315 as a reliever...5-2, 2.51 at home and 1-3, 4.12 on the road...struck out a season-high 6 twice b on June 14 vs. San Antonio and June 28 at San Antonio...season-high 8.2 innings on July 19 vs. San Antonio as he earned the win...pitched at least 6.0 innings in 9 of his starts...in 6 July games he went 3-0, 2.36 (11 ER/42.0 IP)...won 4 of his last 5 decisions...allowed more than 3 earned runs only once in 15 starts and 2 or more runs 8 times.

Opened season with GCL Rangers (Rookie)...held opposition to a .216 average in 37.1 innings...promoted to Charlotte (A) where he made 6 starts going 3-0 with a 0.59 ERA (2 ER/30.2 IP)...in last 3 outings tossed a combined 16.2 shutout innings...walked just 3 batters in 30.2 innings, while striking out 23.

2001

Spent season with Charlotte, earning first win on April 20 at Clearwater...took loss in 6 consecutive outings from May 6-June 3...snapped that streak with 8.1 shutout innings in June 8 win at Jupiter...tossed 8.0 shutout innings on July 4 at Sarasota...won 3 consecutive games from July 20-August 1, including complete game shutout vs. Sarasota on August 1...recorded season-high 9 K's in August 13 loss vs. Dunedin.

2000

Posted a 9-8 mark in finishing second on the staff with 133.0 innings and tying for second with 22 starts...tossed complete game 6-hitter on August 8 with 8 strikeouts for the victory...struck out 7, allowing no runs and no walks in 7.0 innings for win on June 26.

1999

Limited to 18.1 innings do to injury...1998: Started 13 games for the Rangers Venezuelan affiliate.
