Opened the 2008 season with Triple A Toledo, before seeing action in two different stints with the Tigers -- became the club's back-up catcher following the trade of Ivan Rodriguez to the New York Yankees on July 30...Drove in a season-high four runs for the Mud Hens on April 25 at Columbus...Collected a season-best four hits on June 5 at Louisville...Had his contract purchased from Toledo by the Tigers on June 25...Legged out a two-run triple off Matt Herges for his first major league hit on June 29 versus Colorado -- first Tigers player to triple for his first major league hit since Andres Torres on April 7, 2002 versus Cleveland...Had his contract designated for assignment by the Tigers on July 10 -- had his contract outrighted to Toledo on July 14.Appeared in six games with Toledo before his contract was purchased by the Tigers on July 30...Saw action in 12 of the club's final 56 games after returning to the team on July 30 -- hit .154 (4x26) during the stretch.

2007

Spent the entire season with Triple A Louisville in the Cincinnati Reds organization...Tied for the lead among all International League catchers with 10 double plays...second among league catchers by throwing out 49.2 percent of baserunners attempting to steal (31x63)...Batted .457 (16x35) over an 11-game stretch May 16-June 16 -- collected six doubles and four RBI during the stretch...Sidelined May 24-June 5 with left hamstring strain...Collected a season-best four hits on June 10 versus Indianapolis.

2005

Spent most of the season at Class AAA Louisville...on 8/8 suffered a sprained medial collateral ligament in his right knee...the injury did not require surgery, but he didn't play again the rest of the season...was with the Reds from 6/12-6/14 while C Jason LaRue attended a funeral...during that stint appeared in 1g, on 6/14 at Bos made his only career start and went 0-for-3...following that appearance returned to Louisville and spent the rest of the season with the Bats...in his team-high 84 starts behind the plate Louisville pitchers posted a 45-39 record...put together a season-high 6-game hitting streak from 7/23-7/29 (.318).

2004

Spent the season at Class AAA Louisville...was the Bats' lone representative at the Triple-A All-Star Game...did not play from 5/7-5/18 because of a strained right oblique muscle but did not go on the disabled list...hit .286 (7hr, 27rbi) before the All-Star break...on 4/16 vs Norfolk hit his first Class AAA homer...on 5/3 at Charlotte produced the first multi-homer game of his career (4-5, 2hr)...had 25 multi-hit games, including three 4- hit games...was added to the 40-man roster on 11/19.

2003

Was 1 of 13 Reds players to make his Major League debut and 1 of 9 Reds players the last 3 seasons to make his ML debut while skipping Class AAA...spent the minor league season at Class AA Chattanooga until he was promoted on 9/1...made his only Major League appearance on 9/6 at StL, pinch hit for injured Jason LaRue and caught the last 4.0 innings...finished the game 0-for-2...did not appear in a minor league game until 5/15 because of a torn lateral collateral ligament in his left knee suffered in a minor league spring training game (3/5)...on 7/30 was outrighted off the 40-man roster...returned to the 40-man roster when his contract was purchased on 9/1...on 10/10 cleared waivers and could have become a free agent but accepted an outright assignment to Chattanooga...played for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League (14g, .346, 3hr, 9rbi)...led Scottsdale with 7 doubles.

2002

In just his second professional season was selected to play in the Southern League All-Star Game (0-1, walk)...was selected by managers as the best defensive catcher in the Southern League...threw out 53-141 baserunners attempting to steal (38%)...played for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League (28g, .311, 4hr, 24rbi)...ranked among AFL leaders in RBI (3rd), hitting (8th) and slugging percentage (.500, 5th).

2001

Spent his first professional season at Class A Mudville, where he hit .235 with 9hr and 55rbi in 109g...began the season 2-for-26 before he went 4-for-4 with a run, a double, 1rbi and a HBP in a 9-4 win on 4/14 at Modesto...beginning with that performance hit safely in 12 of his next 15g (21-54, .389, 1hr, 7rbi) to raise BA from .077 to a season-high .288...in the last game of that hot streak, a 10-9 victory on 5/4 at Lancaster, went 4-for-5 with 2 doubles, his first career home runs and 3rbi...from 5/10-5/18 had a season-high 8-game hitting streak (9-36, .250, 1hr, 6rbi)...threw out 50-131 baserunners attempting to steal (38%), second-best mark in the California League.

2000

Selected by the Reds in the second round of the June 2000 draft -- did not play after signing on September 1...Named the fourth-best prospect in the Reds organization following the season by Baseball America.
