He and his wife, Karie, reside in Pittsfield, MA, with their daughter, Rylee Rose...is a 1993 graduate of Woodsville (NH) High School where he played soccer, basketball and baseball...was All-State in basketball and baseball...scored more than 1,000 career points in hoops and was named New Hampshire's Player-of-the-Year in baseball...attended the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and led the baseball team to the NCAA Regionals in 1995 and 1996...his uncle, Dennis Paronto, played in the Atlanta Braves organization in the 1970s...name is pronounced puh-RON-toe.
2007
Pitched in 41 games for the Braves, posting a 3.57 ERA (16ER/40.1IP) with 14 strikeouts...recorded a career-high three wins and his first career Major League save (April 2 at PHI)...posted a 0.40 ERA (1ER/22.2IP) in his last 19 appearances and did not allow an earned run in 21 of 23 outings from May 29-July 28...was 3-0 with a 3.16 ERA in 23 games at Turner Field...made five appearances of 2.0-innings...went 1-0 with a 1.20 ERA (2ER/15IP) in June...in 10 July games, had a 0.77 ERA (1ER/11.2IP)...earned his first win with a scoreless inning on May 2 vs. PHI...tagged with his only loss of the season on May 17 at WSH...placed on the Disabled List on April 13 and missed 14 games with a right adductor strain...was optioned to Triple A Richmond on July 31 for the remainder of the season...posted a 3.78 ERA with two saves in 11 games for Richmond.

Appeared in 65 games for Atlanta and posted a 3.18 ERA with 41 strikeouts in 56.2 IP...Allowed 14 of 52 inherited runners to score and allowed runs in just 12 of 65 appearances...Had a 1.40 road ERA and .216 opp. BA on the road compared with 4.65 and .279 at Turner Field...Opponents hit just .091 with the bases loaded (1-for-11)...Notched his second win of the year in Game 2 on 9/3 at PHI...Suffered first two losses of the season in back-to-back outings - 8/23 vs. PIT (when he allowed a two-out solo homer to F. Sanchez in the 7th inning) and 8/25 vs. WSH...Notched his first win (second career) on 8/13 vs. MIL. It was his first win since 4/22/01...Had a 2.00 ERA in 11 July appearances and held opponents to a .178 average in June (16 games)...Set career-high with six Ks and matched career high with 3.0 IP on 5/15 vs. FLA. Also had first at-bat (K)...Contract was purchased from Richmond (AAA) on 5/9. Pitched in 17 games at Richmond, with a 1-1 record, four saves and a 1.02 ERA (2 ER/17.2 IP). Allowed 17 hits and three walks while striking out 15 batters.

Began the season with Nashville, Milwaukee's Triple-A affiliate, where he went 3-1 with a 2.75 ERA and four saves in 27 relief outings. ... Allowed only one home run in his 39.1 IP with Nashville. ... Was released by Milwaukee on 6/17. Signed with the Braves as a free agent on 6/21 and was assigned to Richmond (AAA). ... Did not allow a run in 11.0 IP of relief from 7/28-8/11 with the R-Braves. ... Allowed one run in 18.0 IP, 7/16-8/11. ... Had five strikeouts and earned the win in a four-inning, no-hit relief stint vs. Toledo on 8/4. ... Went 2-0 with a 1.45 ERA in 11 games (18.2 IP/3 ER) in August.
