Went to spring training with Colorado before he was traded to Cincinnati for cash considerations on March 29...spent most of the season on the disabled list with a fractured right ring finger suffered on June 10 at Texas...following the injury did not pitch against for the Reds, but made one rehab appearance Louisville (August 17 at Columbus) before his season ended due to an elbow injury...on September 3 underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove loose fragment and bone chips from his right elbow...overall went 1-0 with a 2.74 ERA and 11 saves in 21 relief appearances at Louisville and 0-1 with a 2.31 ERA in 8 games (1 start) for the Reds...on June 10 at Texas made his first major league start after 136 career relief appearances...left after 2-thirds of an inning with a hairline fracture in his right ring finger suffered while attempting to barehand an Alex Rodriguez single up the middle...placed on the 15-day disabled list following the game and the 60-day disabled list on August 6.
