Brandon Kyle Boggs...2001 graduate of Pope (GA) High School, where he was a three-year letter winner...named All-Cobb County in 1999, 2000 and 2001 and named to the All-Region Team in 2000 and 2001...played summer ball with the East Cobb Yankees program and was the starting center fielder on the team that won the 1999 AAU World Series...helped East Cobb reach the Connie Mack World Series in 2001... played collegiately at Georgia Tech and hit .305 as a freshman in 2002.

2012

Signed with Pittsburgh as a free agent November 18, 2011 and spent the entire season with Triple-A Indianapolis. ... Hit three home runs in first six games and four in first 11 games April 6-16. ... Hit safely in season-high 10 straight games June 25-July 12. ... Batted .364 (28-for-77) with a .462 on-base percentage and 15 RBI in 24 June games. ... Hit .331 (41-for-124) off left-handed pitching and .228 (65-for-285) off right-handed pitching.

2011

Spent majority of season with Nashville (Brewers' AAA) and also had two separate stints with Milwaukee...Made 56 appearances (51 starts) in left field and 22 appearances (18 starts) in right field while playing with Nashville...Began season at the Triple-A level and homered in first game on 4/7...Hit .302 (13-for-43) with two homers and 10 RBI in 15 games thru 4/21 and was selected by Milwaukee on 4/22...Went 0-for-3 in two games off the bench before making first start with the Brewers in right field on 4/24 vs. Houston; homered off Wandy Rodriguez in his first at bat...Was outrighted to Nashville on 5/4...Accepted his assignment, but was recalled by Milwaukee on 5/6 when Nyjer Morgan went on the disabled list...Singled and swiped lone base with Milwaukee on 5/11 vs. San Diego...Made second and final start with the Brewers in center field on 5/14 vs. Pittsburgh and homered off Jeff Karstens...Went 0-for-4 with a walk in five pinch-hitting appearances from 5/15-24...Was outrighted to Nashville on 5/26 and finished his season at the Triple-A level...Homered twice on 6/19 at Memphis...Finished season hitting safely in six straight games, going 11-for-23 (.478) and raising average from .219 to .241.

Batted .290 with 10 HR and 50 RBI in 103 games at Triple-A Oklahoma City...Was recalled by Texas on 8/15...Went 0-for-7 with a walk in 4 games with the Rangers, including 2 starts in right field...Made his starts on 8/16 at Tampa Bay and 8/19 at Baltimore...Was optioned back to Oklahoma City on 8/30...Was designated for assignment on 8/31...Cleared waivers on 9/3 and was outrighted to Oklahoma City...Signed as a free agent with Milwaukee on 11/24.

2009

Spent the majority of the season at Oklahoma City (AAA)...ranked among RedHawks leaders in walks (2nd, 59), home runs (4th, 8), steals (5th, 9), doubles (T5th, 15) and RBI (6th, 47)... appeared in 43 games in LF, 34 games in RF, 12 games in CF, and 7 games as the DH...committed just one error in 158 chances... reached base safely in 14 straight games to start the season from April 9-27, drawing 13 walks in that span (.406 OBP)...was on the OKC bereavement list, April 24-26...had season-high 7-game hit streak from April 28-May 6 at .360 (9-25) to rise from .226 to .269...had a .278 average with 2 homers and 25 RBI over 46 games before June 2 recall by Texas after Josh Hamilton was placed on the disabled list (abdominal strain)...played in just 9 games with the Rangers, going 1-for-17 (.059) at the plate...lone hit was a double, June 9 vs. Toronto...was 1-for-10 vs. left-handers and 0-for-7 vs. right-handers...went 0-for-2 with one walk and 2 strikeouts in 3 pinch-hit appearances...played 6 games in the outfield (3 - LF, 3 -CF)...started 3 games in LF and one game in CF...committed one error in 10 chances (June 6 at Boston)...was optioned back to Oklahoma City on June 25... suffered a dislocated left shoulder July 3 at Iowa and was on OKC DL, July 4-20...hit .245 (37-151) in final 41 games with the RedHawks after return to active roster...was recalled by Texas Sept. 1 and placed on the 60-day disabled list due to left shoulder injury for the remainder of the year...underwent left shoulder surgery Oct. 9.

After a late April call-up when Hank Blalock went on the disabled list, Boggs was with the Rangers for the final 5 months of the season in his rookie campaign after having never played above Double-A...led the team with 59 starts in left field...batted .226 with 8 home runs, 17 doubles, and 41 RBI in 101 games...despite sporadic playing time for much of the year, ranked 8th on the team with 101 games played...also ranked among team leaders in triples (T2nd, 4), walks (6th, 44), and RBI (T8th)...averaged 4.32 pitches per plate appearance, most of any Texas batter with at least 300 PA's...had highest percentage of pitches taken among Rangers regulars (61.9%)...his 93 strikeouts was 4th-most on club...ranked among A.L. rookie leaders in walks (4th), triples (T4th), on-base pct. 2007

Split the year between Bakersfield (A) and Frisco (AA), batting a combined .262 with 23 home runs, 30 doubles, and 72 RBI in 130 games...had fifth-most homers of any player in Texas organization...opened at Bakersfield, batting .250 in 26 games with the Blaze...hit game-winning homer in top of 10th on May 2 at High Desert in a 4-3 win...was promoted to Frisco on May 5...went on to place second on the RoughRiders in homers (19) and 3rd in RBI (55)...his .893 OPS was third highest in the league...hit a pair of 3-run homers on June 10 vs. Midland (Game 1) and hit a grand slam on June 24 at Corpus Christi...played mostly center field and also saw action in left...played for Mexicali in Mexican Winter League, batting .284 (25-88) with 6 doubles and 4 RBI in 23 games.

2006

Spent the entire season at Bakersfield...ranked third on the team in triples (4) and stolen bases (13)...recorded a season-high 10-game hit streak from July 22-Aug. 2 (.382, 13-34).

2005

Started season at extended spring training before being transferred to Clinton (A) on May 25...spent the remainder of the season with the LumberKings...ranked third on club with 50 walks...appeared in all 4 of Clinton's postseason games, batting .385 (5-13) with 2 doubles, 2 RBI and 2 stolen bases.

2004

Spent first pro season at Spokane (short season A)...recorded first hit in his professional debut, an RBI double July 2 vs. Boise...hit first professional home run on July 10 at Vancouver...was sidelined from Aug. 1-12 with strained rib cage muscle.
