Full name AND REW LEE CANN IZA RO...Resides in Mandeville, LA...Graduated in 2001 from Tulane University before being drafted in the 7th round by the Yankees in the 2001 June Draft...Was named an All-American by Baseball Weekly and Collegiate Baseball after his senior season...In 1999 he batted .370 and stole a Conference USA-high 31 bases on his way to being named to the All-Conference USA First Team, C-USA All-Tournament Team...Graduated from St. Paul's (La.) High School, where he was named the 1997 Louisiana Baseball Coaches Association State MVP.

Split the season between AAA Durham, AAA Buffalo and appeared in 1 game for the AL champion Tampa Bay Rays...Began the season at AAA Durham where he appeared in 35 games at second base and 12 games at third for the Bulls (1G at SS)...Appeared in 13 games in April, hitting .289 (13-45) before being recalled to TB on April 27...Appeared in 1 game for the Rays on May 3 at Boston (SS, 0-1) before being designated for assignment and outrighted back to Durham on May 13...Also hit .280 (7-25) in May before hitting a combined .208 (21-101) from June 1-July 24...Was acquired by the Indians on August 4 and assigned to AAA Buffalo...Spent remainder of the season with the Bisons, hitting .321 (27-84) with 4 2B, 3HR & 14RBI in 25 games (.850OPS)... Suffered a back injury in Yankees major league spring training camp and missed nearly 4 months...joined AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre June 30 after rehabbing at AA Trenton...Appeared in 36 games at 2B, 14 at shortstop and 8 at 3B at Scranton and Trenton combined...His .444 (4-9) average for Scranton in the postseason led all International League players (min. 10 PAs)...Hit his only two home runs in the same game: August 3 vs. Buffalo (Indians), the first multi-homer game of his career.

Made his major league debut with the Yankees on Sep. 5, 2006 at Kansas City...played in 13 games with the Yankees that September...Hit his lone career home run off Jon Switzer at Tropicana Field in a 16-1 Yankees victory over the Rays on Sep. 25...Led all Columbus hitters with a .361 average off left-handed pitching and led the team with 32 doubles, ranking 5th in the International League.
