Wyatt Mills

Full name is Gregory Wyatt Mills. Played four seasons at Gonzaga University (2014-17)...Posted a sub-3.00 ERA in his sophomore, junior, and senior seasons, going 2-2 with a 1.79 ERA (8 ER/40.1 IP) and 12 saves in 22 relief appearances as a senior. Pitched for Yakima Valley in the West Coast League during the summer of 2015... Entering 2023, one other member of the 2015 Pippins squad had appeared in the majors (RHP Jake Bird with COL in 2022)...Graduated from Gonzaga Prep High School (WA). Selected by TB in the 17th round of the 2016 First-Year Player Draft but did not sign.

2022

Split the season between Triple-A and the majors in the SEA and KC organizations. Posted a 4.60 ERA (15 ER/29.1 IP) in 27 ML appearances and a 2.14 ERA (8 ER/33.2 IP) in 29 Triple-A outings. Made five appearances for SEA in Spring Training before beginning the season with Tacoma. Posted a 4.15 ERA (4 ER/8.2 IP) in 8 relief outings for SEA from 4/29-5/19...Optioned to Tacoma on 5/20. Acquired by KC on 6/27 with minor league RHP William Fleming in exchange for INF Carlos Santana and cash considerations. Made his Royals organizational debut on 6/30 with Omaha before being recalled on 7/1. Each of his 18 appearances from 7/2-8/16 came with KC...13 of those 18 outings were scoreless. Optioned to Omaha on 8/17, where he made each of his final 12 appearances (2.77 ERA, 4 ER/13.0 IP).

2021

Went 0-0 with a 9.95 ERA (14 ER, 12.2 IP) with seven walks and 11 strikeouts....Tossed a perfect inning on 5/1 vs. Los Angeles-AL....Struck out Pedro Severino to end the 8th inning for his first MLB strikeout on May 3.

2020

Did not appear in a game due to the cancelation of the 2020 minor league season...Participated in the Mariners Player Development Fall League.

2019

In 41 relief appearances with Double-A Arkansas, was 4-2 with 8 saves and a 4.27 ERA (25 ER, 52.2 IP) with 66 strikeouts and 17 walks…his 66 strikeouts were a singleseason career-high…recorded at least 1 strikeout in 34 of 41 outings, including a seasonhigh 6 strikeouts in 2.0 innings on July 2 at NW Arkansas…averaged 11.28 strikeoutsper-9.0-innings (66 K, 52.2 IP)…did not walk a batter in 10 save opportunities…from April 28 - June 11, was 3-0 with 2 saves and a 0.98 ERA (2 ER, 18.1 IP) over 10 outings… tossed 12.2 consecutive scoreless innings over 7 games, April 28-May 2…from June 19 - July 9, allowed only 3 baserunners (1 H, 2 BB) while striking out 17 in 9.0 scoreless innings…allowed only 14 earned runs (15 R) in his last 33 games (4/28-8/31).
