Allowed four or fewer earned runs in each of his first 18 starts, marking the fifth-longest such streak by a lefty and tied for the ninth-longest such streak in the majors... Recorded 126 strikeouts over 105.2 innings for a 10.76 SO/9 ratio, which ranked ninth in the National League and 14th in the majors among hurlers with at least 100.0 innings pitched... Struck out the 200th batter of his career on August 6 vs. Atlanta (Game 1), becoming the 10th pitcher in Mets history to reach 200 strikeouts in their first 43 games.
