Was an NRI at Astros Spring Training and made three appearances, allowing one run in 4.0 innings pitched (2.25ERA)...optioned to minor league camp on March 28...Began his regular season at Triple A Sugar Land, and after making four scoreless appearances, was quickly added to the Astros active roster on April 16...made his Major League debut on April 17, 2022, at SEA, tossing a scoreless inning...struck out 3B Eugenio Suárez, the first MLB batter he faced...Would have three Major League stints on the Astros active roster this season...while with the Astros, posted a 3.68 ERA (3ER/7.1IP) with eight strikeouts...also missed nearly two months while on the Major League IL from June 7-July 21 with left elbow discomfort.
