Led Red Sox minor league pitchers in appearances. Held right-handed batters to a .186 AVG/.279 OBP/.248 SLG line (27-for-145, 5 XBH). Began the season with Portland...Allowed 6 ER in his first 4 appearances (9.0 IP), but posted a 0.87 ERA and .118 opponent AVG in his remaining 17 games with the Sea Dogs (20.2 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 0 HR).
