BRADENTON, Fla. -- The Pirates made another round of Spring Training roster cuts on Monday, sending four pitchers to Minor League camp.
Reliever Pat Light was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis. Right-handers Casey Sadler and Angel Sanchez and lefty Jared Lakind were reassigned to Minor League camp at Pirate City.
Pittsburgh acquired Light, a 25-year-old right-hander, from Minnesota on Feb. 9 for cash considerations or a player to be named later. Light made his Major League debut last season, pitching 16 2/3 innings with an 11.34 ERA for the Red Sox and Twins.

Light made five appearances in the Grapefruit League this spring, allowing two runs on two hits and a walk while striking out two in 4 2/3 innings. Since he is on the 40-man roster, he figures to be among the Pirates' Triple-A relief depth options this season if a need arises.
Lakind recently returned from the World Baseball Classic, where he pitched for Israel in the second round. In addition to his four Grapefruit League appearances, Lakind also pitched against the Pirates -- for the Dominican Republic -- in an exhibition at LECOM Park on March 8.

After sitting out all of last season, Sadler and Sanchez returned from Tommy John surgeries and pitched for the Pirates this spring. Each right-hander made a pair of one-inning appearances. Given their limited workloads since 2015 and the crowded Triple-A rotation, Sadler and Sanchez are likely to begin the season as relievers.
The Pirates have 47 players remaining in Major League camp, including 13 non-roster invitees and two players -- Andrew McCutchen and Josh Harrison -- currently with Team USA in the World Baseball Classic.
