Graduate of Woodlands High School… While there he was an AFLAC, USA Today, and Louisville Slugger high-school All-American at pitcher and shortstop... Was paired up on a Houston summer team with current Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jay Bruce ... While in high school was named 2005 and 2006 Texas 5-A player of the year... During the 2006 spring season, the Highlanders won the Texas 5-A State Championship... During his high school career, compiled a record of 30-1 on the mound while belting 27 home runs... In the 2006 Texas regional semifinal, he set the Woodlands High School record for most strikeouts in a game by a pitcher (19), recording a no-hitter... Was 10-0 in his senior year (10 starts) while posting an ERA of 1.18 in 65.0 IP, allowed 34 hits, walked 23 and struck out 112.
2014
Spent the majority of the season with Buffalo of the International League… Posted a 7-7 record in 32 games with a 4.18 ERA for the Bisons. Started 13 contests in Buffalo, going 4-6 with a 4.46 ERA… Club was 7-6 in his starts and he allowed three earned runs or less in 10 of 13... After moving to the bullpen posted a 3.29 ERA in 19 appearances as a reliever. Allowed 35 earned runs over 50.2 innings while pitching at home (6.22 ERA), while holding opponents to a 2.05 ERA (11ER/48.1IP). Was recalled from the minors August 16… Appeared in two games out of the bullpen for Toronto… Did not surrender a run while allowing two hits over three innings of work in those two outings. Named Bisons Judge Dillon Comeback Player of the Year.
2013
Missed Toronto's first 85 games of the season while recovering from right elbow surgery…Was removed from 60-day DL on July 5 and optioned to Dunedin Blue Jays … Was later assigned to Buffalo (AAA) of the International League on August 14. Appeared in three games out of the bullpen for Toronto after being recalled September 3 from the Buffalo Bisons. Made his 1st appearance since June 13, 2012 pitching in relief at MIN September 7. Appeared in four games (three starts) with the Bisons, posting a record of 1-2 with a 3.77 ERA. In 14 games (11 starts) between Dunedin (8G), New Hampshire (2G) & Buffalo (4G), had an ERA of 3.14 (15ER/43.0) while walking just six & fanning 35 as part of his rehab assignment while recovering from Tommy John surgery performed June 19, 2012 (2nd of his career).

& still earn the win since Juan Guzman (TOR) on July 15, 1994 vs. TEX (6-IP, 6-BB, 3-WP)...Pitched well at Rogers Centre, posting a 3-3 record with a 2.70 ERA while holding opponents to a .215 average...On the
road was 1-4 with a 6.75 ERA and a .286 opponent's average...Recorded a career high 7.1 innings on April 15 vs. BAL, just the 4th time he has tossed at least 7.0 innings in his career...

seven innings, walked three, struck out seven and pitched 5.1 hitless innings to start the game... SHORT START: Pitched just
0.2 innings June 1 vs. CLE which was the shortest start of his career and the shortest start by a Blue Jay since May 30, 2007

Spent the majority of the season with New Hampshire (AA) of the Eastern League before being promoted to Toronto on Sept. 15... Made his ML debut on Sept. 15 at BAL, recorded a qualiy start, tossing six innings, allowing three runs in a 4-1 loss... Made his first start vs. the Orioles just as his father did on June 15, 1986... Fanned Ty Wigginton in the first inning for
his first Major League strikeout... Was named Eastern League Pitcher of the Year in 2010 after recording a 14-9 record with a
2.94 ERA in 27 starts for New Hampshire (AA)... Led the Eastern League with his 14 victories, while finishing 3rd in ERA (2.94),
IP (162) and strikeouts (132)... July 4 pitched a no-hitter in a game vs. New Britain walking two and striking out three,
becoming the first Fisher Cat to throw a nine inning no-hitter in club history... The performance earned him Eastern
League Pitcher of the Week honours... Was named to the Eastern League Mid and Post Season All-Star squads... Took the ball
in game #1 of the Eastern League East Division Finals, going six innings, however took the loss 2-0 in their first playoff game in

Held FSL hitters to a .218 average, while striking out 74 in 61.2 innings... BIG FINISH/STRONG START: In his last start at Clearwater pitched a comlete game five-hit shutout on May 29... Was promoted to
Reading (AA) in the Eastern League in time for his next start on June 3... In his appearnce for Reading continued his streak
of scoreless innings with seven shutout to pick up his first win at AA... Won his first five decisions at AA, and did not pick
