Event lineup for Nemours Opening Day
Phillies fans will be back in the stands at Citizens Bank Park for the first time in 18 months
The Phillies are excited to welcome a limited number of fans back to Citizens Bank Park for the team’s sold-out home opener against the Atlanta Braves! Also, remember to mask up and please be aware of the new safety guidelines for the 2021 season; guests should plan their trip accordingly with full details available here.
Fans can also stay informed for their trip to the ballpark by following the newly-launched @PhilliesCBP on Twitter and liking the official Citizens Bank Park Facebook page at Facebook.com/CitizensBankPark. These accounts will keep fans up to date on all event-day info, as well as health and safety protocols, while enjoying original content.
10:00 a.m. New Era Phillies Team Store opens, Citizens Bank Way. Features limited-edition Opening Day collectibles and apparel, as well as the exclusive “Gear Up for the Season Bundle” (only $60 for a $120 value) which includes a Phillies 2021 batting practice adjustable cap, CoolBase tee, scorebook socks, Fightin’ Phils reversible lanyard, Citizens Bank Park can cooler, and “P” decal, all packaged in a collectible one-gallon Phillies tin (while supplies last).
2:05 p.m. All gates open. All fans receive a Nemours Opening Day Rally Towel. Plus, fans can take photos of the large Opening Day letters and iconic Liberty Bell as they approach the Third Base Gate.
2:37 p.m. Be in your seats as the Phillies officially welcome fans back to Citizens Bank Park for the 2021 season.

2:53 p.m. ‘Tip Your Cap’ for frontline heroes: Each of the 41 extraordinary frontline heroes that surround Citizens Bank Park on street banners will be recognized on-field by the Phillies and Toyota. These amazing men and women were selected from nearly 500 nominations submitted by fans, who all shared heartwarming and personal video testimonies of local essential workers who stepped up to the plate to help the city and the community during the pandemic.
2:54 p.m. All Service Honor Guard behind Section 141; the presentation of colors will represent all five branches of the military. A moment of silence will be held for members of the Phillies family who recently passed away, as well as those from across the country who lost their lives to COVID-19.
2:55 p.m. National anthem: Performed by Kane Kalas, son of the late Phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas, at his father’s statue behind Section 141.
2:59 p.m. Ceremonial first pitch by 11-year-old Ellen Salome from West Chester, Pa. in honor of Nemours Children’s Health System.
3:05 p.m. Play ball!
5th Inning Several frontline heroes will have the honor of being the Phillie Phanatic’s first dance of the season.
7th Inning The Philadelphia Boys Choir will sing “God Bless America,” prerecorded via PhanaVision. Plus, a fan surprise for the Phillie Phanatic dance.

Broadcast: “Phillies: Fiebre Roja” will air 11:30 a.m. to noon on Telemundo62, followed by NBC Sports Philadelphia “Phillies Pregame Live” from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the NBC10 “Welcome Home Phillies” from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast on NBC10, SportsRadio 94 WIP and WTTM 1680 AM (Spanish). NBC Sports Philadelphia will also stream the game, as well as the pre- and postgame shows, on http://www.nbcsportsphiladelphia.com and on the MyTeams app by NBC Sports.
